New marketing engine raises the standard for digital communication from Danish banks
BEC is expanding its IT products for Danish banks with a new marketing platform from Salesforce and BEC’s own innovation hub, Scoutz.
BEC Financial Technologies‘ innovation hub, Scoutz, is now expanding the scope of digital solutions that Danish banks can expect from their IT vendors. With a completely new and rebuilt version of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Scoutz is opening vast new opportunities for banks of all sizes to automate and individualize their digital communication to existing and potential customers.
“We are setting new standards for direct, data-driven communication in the Danish banking market. Banks are moving from no or separate marketing tools without connection to their customer data – to the latest technology from Salesforce, which is born into our secure IT environment with artificial intelligence and fully integrated with the banks’ customer data,” says Morten Baden, head of development at Scoutz.
First in the Nordics with the latest technology
The banks’ customer data are stored in their IT vendors’ banking systems, and the BEC banks’ advisors work with these customer data in the advisor universe Scoutz 360, which is built in Salesforce. The new marketing engine is also built directly in Salesforce.
“This will be a huge competitive advantage for us. We are going from almost nothing to the world’s leading marketing platform built directly into our well-known, secure IT environment. This gives us completely new opportunities that no one outside the BEC community of banks can come close to,” says business developer Christoffer Nielsen from Fynske Bank.
No other Danish banks have such advanced data-driven, automated communication and marketing, built right into the customer systems and customer processes. The largest banks in BEC use a previous Salesforce product for large companies, but that solution is also a separate system, which is not 100% integrated with the advisor universe’s customer data.
“Our banks will be pioneers with the world’s most modern marketing engine. We are the very first in the Nordic region and among the first in Europe to introduce the solution. We can even roll it out in no time because we already have integrations, data, and data security in our advisor universe in Salesforce,” says Morten Baden from Scoutz, who expects to have the new IT solution up and running for 11 BEC banks by summer.
Individual, automated communication with customers
Because Scoutz supports advice and automated customer communication on one platform, the bank will get extensive opportunities to respond to all types of changes in the customers conditions with relevant, individualized information.
“What does a young customer need when they get their first job? How do we send homeowners personal information when interest rates change – maybe even an automatic offer for loan restructuring? How do we welcome new customers to their local branch – instead of just bombarding them with AML compliance? We will be able to automate and target all of this so that the individual customer gets much more relevant information, now that we can work with customer data and communication channels in the same, secure IT solution,” says Christoffer Nielsen, Fynske Bank.
Artificial intelligence boosts the potential
He also highlights that the platform can integrate with Fynske Bank’s social media, and – not least – that it is built for artificial intelligence:
“I do not think we have fully realized how big this is and can become. Salesforce is far ahead with AI agents, which is also part of the new tools: Suddenly, we will not have to code things ourselves but may set up an entire customer journey by in a language in natural language with a generative AI assistant,” says Christoffer Nielsen.
