Two new division heads in BEC to strengthen market focus and tech transformation

Anja Steenstrup and Anders Kiilerich Holm have joined BEC’s senior leadership team as of March 1. They join BEC as division heads of two of the eight divisions in BEC’s new organization announced November 22, 2023.

BEC Financial Technologies is the most important IT supplier for a number of Danish banks that own BEC and together serve around one in four Danish bank customers.

New customer and product focused division

Anders Kiilerich Holm has been hired as head of BEC’s new division ‘Customers & Products’.

“Anders Kiilerich Holm comes with strong banking knowledge to shape a product-centric division based on market insights, end-consumer preferences, and competitor moves. I look very much forward to working together with Anders on BEC taking a stronger lead on meeting our customers’ demands with market-driven, standardized solutions,” says Lars Malmberg, deputy CEO in BEC.

Anders Kiilerich Holm holds a master’s degree in economics and comes with a strong background from Boston Consulting Group and Danske Bank.

In Danske Bank, he was senior vice president in several positions over the years, including head of Product Optimization, head of Strategy & Insights for Large Corporate & Institutions, and head of Strategy & Partnerships for Retail Banking.

“There is a lot of potential for BEC in integrating even more with our customers and also understanding their customers better. I can’t wait to dive into that work together with our customers and the rest of the organization,” says Anders Kiilerich Holm.

Operations division to drive tech transformation

Anja Steenstrup has taken the position as head of the reshaped division ‘Operations’.

“Anja Steenstrup is an experienced leader with solid operational experience from the Nordic financial sector and will significantly strengthen our ability to transform BEC’s tech landscape and operations,” says Jesper Andersen, CTO in BEC.

Anja Steenstrup comes from a position as head of Clearing Operations in P27 Nordic Payments Platform. Before that, she served as chief operating officer for clearing, international payments and PSD2 in Mastercard Payment Services Denmark and Nets. She holds a master’s degree in business administration.
