Statement from the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority

The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority has conducted an IT inspection in BEC, and BEC has on November 1, 2023 received the final report and statement.

“BEC has had very constructive discussions with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority about our work to implement strengthened method requirements for identifying the IT risks linked to our processes, activities, services, systems and data,” says Jesper Nielsen, CEO of BEC.

“Risk management and IT security have the highest priority at BEC and are an extensive area of investment for us. As the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority notes, BEC has been working for some time to implement a new risk management model. We expect to complete much of this work before the end of the year and thereby meet a large part of the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority’s observations. We also agree with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority’s requirement to further strengthen these risk processes. Part of this work is already underway, and we are now working on an action plan for the remaining work, so that BEC can meet the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority’s requirements as soon as possible,” says Jesper Nielsen.
